Oscar Party with a Birthday Twist
I had the great pleasure in catering Meredith’s annual Oscar Party. Once speaking with her about the kind of menu she would like I instantly thought of a nice spanish theme tapas party. On top of that she mentioned that one of her dear friends is also having a birthday, so of course I wanted to add a sweet touch to this fun party. Menu: Manchego, Jamon Serrano Charcuterie (Marinated Olives, Chorizo, Fig Spread, Marcona Almonds, Dried Apricots), Sweet Potato Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelete with Chipotle Aioli), Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp), Champineones a la Parilla (Roasted Stuffed Mushrooms), Albondigas en Salsa de Tomate (Meatballs in Spicy Tomato Sauce), Seafood Paella, Chicken and Vegetable Paella, Dessert: Vanilla Bean Caramel Cake, Dark Chocolate Fondue with a Fresh Fruit Medley.
